It's not every day you get to meet an author as passionate and well-spoken as Jodie Lane.
I attended the book launch for Heart and Stomach of a Queen, which is the 5th and final in the Turning Point series. Jodie described her research for a historical Queen in the 1400s with the presence of Queen Elizabeth but not necessarily as well-known. She spoke of Queen Isabella of Spain (then Castille) and her daughter, Juana the Mad. I haven't read it yet but am sure out intrepid time-travellers in the book will have a fascinating time in that era of great exploration and world change. |
5 stars
This fifth title in the Turning Points series brings the journey of Gwyn through time to a wonderful conclusion. All five books are immensely readable tales of adventure and romance that also make the reader question what it is we have done to our world. Do we have the courage to create a better future? Can we forgive our violent past and learn to live with love? Can we accept who we truly are and encourage diversity? Jodie Lane has opened us to the questions in her excellent series.
